webless day

I really hate April Fools Day. I never liked it much as a kid, because as a non-popular chap, I was often an attempted target of “the funny.” Nowadays it seems like virtually every site on the web posts countless lame “jokes” on April 1 which renders it almost impossible to find anything genuinely interesting to read. The fake news posts are almost universally un-funny and forced and every site seems to think they are the only ones who are oh-so-creative enough to pull a prank on April Fools Day. This “holiday” used to revolve around making a fool of someone other than the prankster - but on the web it appears to have done a 180 and now the pranksters are the fools.

I didn’t either until I started reading my usual tech blogs. The stories they were posting were so outrageous that it was immediately obvious something was wrong. Then I realized it was the 1st and had an “ah-ha” moment.
