The car is finally paid off!! This is only the second car I’ve ever actually owned - the first was my very first car which was a couple hundred dollar junker that my parents bought for me (it didn’t last long). It’s a good feeling.
When I called to make the final payment, the lady at the bank seemed genuinely impressed that I was paying off the car loan and congratulated me a couple times for not only paying it off, but managing to pay it off early. I gather they don’t get too many calls like that… When I said I wanted to pay it off, her whole tone changed. I imagine she was assuming I was calling up to try to get lower payments or make some excuse for not being able to pay this month. 
Ironically, after the “paperwork” was done, she went back into script mode and noted that Subaru and Chase wanted to reward me for being such a loyal customer and they were offering a Visa credit card with low interest, etc. That made me laugh.
