Clarifications
Some people have become confused about the start date of iApp-a-Day and seem to think I have already failed my goal by not releasing anything yesterday. Folks - it kicks off tomorrow. In November. Monday was not November. (Note: Neither is today!)
There has been additional confusion on many blogs that I’ve seen as to who I am. I am, in fact, just me. I haven’t been anyone else my entire life - so that much I know for certain.
I am also unaffiliated with Nullriver and the entire Installer.app team. Nullriver just happened to be the ones who added the iApp-a-Day source repository package so that ya’ll can get the apps every day automagically. That is the extent of Nullriver’s involvement with this project. This is not some devious marketing ploy on their part. If it is.. they didn’t tell me about it and I’m not being cut in on the profits. (Punks…)
One more time for clarity: I am not Nullriver. I am not Apple. I am Spiffytech - which consists only of me. Pumpkin was a teaser/bonus app to help make sure the repository was working, the stuff in Installer.app got setup correctly, and of course to celebrate Halloween (which is actually today for those who might not know).
I hope that clears things up!
In the meantime, while I’m sure the blogs who got it wrong will be busy editing and updating their posts… (haha!) you can enjoy my Halloween “trick or treat” (you get to decide which) in the form of the Pumpkin application - and mentally prepare yourself for the daily excitement that is to come. Starting tomorrow. ![]()
