Day 3: Melt
Today’s app is a little game, of sorts. Once you figure out how to get the ice cubes to melt - the next challenge is to see how quickly you can do it! Can you beat the global average?
update: you can view the stats even if you don’t have an iPhone.

Very neat! Nice to have an app that 2 people can go head to head on. 24.5 seconds is my best so far. Thanks Sean!

@gravy: You’re welcome! Good time, too.
Have fun.

I,d like to see some more useful apps come out of this, though.

Uhm, I don’t get it..

These apps have been amusing for about 2 seconds. For tomorrow, can you make a usuful app that I won’t uninstall as soon as I’ve installed?
Thanks

@kyle #1: useful? that’s no fun…
(plus it’s considerably more time consuming)
@kyle #2 / lance: rub the ice cubes.
@GameJim: You melted the ice cubes in 2 seconds?! Impressive…

@mr iphone: Impressive time! That’s going to be very hard to beat. I don’t think I’ve had one less than 20 myself. The global average has a long ways to go, though.. it’s still at almost 1 minute!

keep up the apps.. useful or not, it’s nice to see someone doing something at all. for all the whiners, code up your own apps or shut up!

I’m amazed people are moaning that something free is rubbish. You’re clearly missing the point. If you want something useful, write it yourself! How about some credit to Sean for his time and effort instead?

I like your apps so far, they are really amusing.
But the only long-run benefit I see from them is developers and future developers learning from them.
I still love the apps so far, keep up the good work!

Awesome my time is 23.7
November 3rd, 2007 at 2:30 pm
well I can’t repeat my time … Lots of 20 bringing the average down though
My trick… Try 2 fingers on either side…

this is fun…something to challenge someone with … hehehe … keep up the good work, man … i just don’t get why people whine about free software … if you don’t like it then just uninstall it, you don’t have to whine and bi*ch … anyway, thanks for releasing the code … been really helpful to me …

Awesome app, the world ranking is a great idea but… I think that you *must* tell the user that some info will be sent through the internet to a server… :-/

November 4th, 2007 at 10:35 pm

November 7th, 2007 at 3:12 pm
in the time wasted section can you add
Days

I cant get under 20…I have gotten 20.0 over 15 times but cant get 19.9
Just a idea, when u start the game have the ice in the center already…it wastes like 0.7-1.0 seconds just coming into the screen.
