Day 4: Burp
Today’s app makes use of the camera. Simply snap a picture of what you’re eating, rank it as naughty or nice (you can decide if that means healthy or tasty or nice looking or whatever), and it uploads the pic to share with everyone else. (I hope this one doesn’t kill my server….)
update: you can view the pictures even if you don’t have an iPhone.

the app doesn’t let you scroll down to view new pictures and refreshing very rarely gives you new results.

Here’s an idea, but it might be a little too much: Have anyone that wants to use the app make a user name, that way, pictures will be posted with the user’s name, therefore enabling the banning and deleting of certain users who consistantly upload spam

does the not food button do anything more than hide the image, i keep getting back images that i marked as not food.
Maybe you could have the app ban users that have a high percentage of “not food” pictures (based on ip)

Hey Sean, as a request I think it would be a big success if it was a “4chan” type of app, where users chose a category from a drop down menu, and have those “naughty” boards if you know what I mean.

By far the BEST app ever made for the iphone. It is an innovative idea that brings a social aspect to the iphone in a way never done before. I can’t wait to see what there is to come for the rest of November….it’s only the 6th now!

the ‘ads by google’ don’t seem to relate to the burp images, i would expect to see ad links for either food or the iphone. Right now all the burp google ad links are children related, you won’t be getting many clicks on those, not from these characters.

Love your work, this is a great example of social networking and interaction. I’d really like to see this one expanded into different types or categories of photos, like food, kids, people/friends, funny, countries/locations etc… and an adult category, of course, just to keep that sort of photos separate, I don’t really want to see that type of thing but without category you’ll getting it anywhere within the categories and no control.
