Gross and Consequences
Some of you people out there are disgusting. You know who you are…
I’ve spent the entire day battling the filth being uploaded to Burp and trying a variety of methods to help reduce the porn and other nasty images rather than being able to focus on developing new apps. Yes, I have an app ready for tomorrow - don’t worry - but all this craziness has really reduced my faith in humanity… wow. It’s almost enough to make me not want to release anything tomorrow - but then if I did that, you nasty folks would have “won” (sorta). Well screw you. I’m going to release something anyway! 
Due to the epic battle of decency vs. indecency, I didn’t have much time to try to figure out why a lot (all?) of you with firmware 1.1.1 can’t scroll the picture view in Burp. Apparently my changes in version 1.2 didn’t solve it - I haven’t heard anything about 1.2.1 yet, so let me know if the scrolling works or not. I hope it does. (Any of you devs with UIWebView experience want to email me and let me know if there’s some trick I may be missing?)
I’m exhausted. So much for my weekend… *sigh* Time for bed.

Well I feel very sad about it because I had to uninstall the Burp app, I was having a lot of fun and showing it to my wife when the expositions and really sick images started to show, at least you should allow 1 image per user, I hope there is more people trying to have sane fun than perverts.

Yeah, I saw two images of people and some other things that weren’t food when I took a break yesterday morning. I figured people wouldn’t follow directions; which could be a huge problem; no idea it would have been that huge of a problem. If I had an iPhone I would have taken a picture of about 9 or 10 empty cans of beer…..

It’s not like it was just a couple people causing the trouble, either. It was hundreds of people. Not to mention some were taking it upon themselves to have sex and snap a pic every couple seconds. There were also some people snapping pics of a porn movie, taking pics in the bathroom, etc. Some of it was truly nasty stuff.
Things are actually working quite well now. Some porn still comes through, but the voting seems to knock it out rather quickly - so it’s possible there is, in fact, still more “normal” people than social deviants. We’ll see…

@luka: I’ve already had some of those same ideas and plan to make them for apps later this month. That’s one of the reasons why I’ve not yet released the Burp source. Not that Burp is terribly complex, mind you, but I have a lot more things planned for that platform - although I’m a little apprehensive given the INSANE nature of a lot of people… but I think mostly the porn is under control now. At least the last few hours have been very clean.

The images are looking way better.
I was wondering, how does the program display pics?
Is it random, or the latest at the top?

Me and my roommate agree. Make the program have different categories. Users can still remain anonymous and it will keep picture taking quick, but porn will fall into an Adult category, and if someone decides to be deviant and post it elsewhere, use your current voting system to dispose of it.

Oh and Sean.. I dunno if you did this intentionally but yesterday night (I think) you updated something on the burp page that broke compatibility with at least IE7 and Firefox.
In IE7 I get a javascript error and nothing is displayed after the title.

Create another program based on this one but upon install you have to agree your 18 or 21 years old and understand that nudity will be present that way we can see all that tits and ass ladies ;o)
And it won’t offend anyone, and guys stop with the cock shots already!
You can name it iFlash and it would be a HUGE hit! You can add a donate button to and bank on it!!!

Scrolling works on iPhone 1.1.1!!!! GREAT Job! Sadly, I too removed it due to the filth on the site. After posting a few “for shame” text pictures I was told to die and gave up. Oh well. Even the best intentioned apps will be ruined by immaturity. Thank you for the app and thought though…
