Day 13: Interval
Today’s is a simple but maybe-useful one. It lets you dial in a date in the past or future and display the exact time from then until now down to the second.

thanks again Sean!

Well now I know EXACTLY how much shopping time I have left until Christmas!
November 13th, 2007 at 9:26 am
this is a dupe
November 13th, 2007 at 9:29 am
I’m not sure if this is true or not. But I beleive it doesn’t account for what time zone you are in.. Because I put it for the exact time it was now but in 2008 and it was off by a couple hours. Maybe I am doing it worng though.
P.S. I live in EST time zone

edit: I restatted the app and it worked as it should. Wierd
November 13th, 2007 at 9:31 am
@kyle: A dupe? Huh? Have I made this before and not remembered it?
November 13th, 2007 at 9:31 am
@david: very strange… but glad it started working. :-/
November 13th, 2007 at 9:38 am
Anyway to make it remember the setting when you leave the app?
November 13th, 2007 at 11:14 am
DOES THIS WORK???

Gracias Sean. Esta buena la app.
La de ayer tambien fue interesante.
November 13th, 2007 at 2:29 pm
I love you Sean!
November 13th, 2007 at 4:14 pm
Uhh… Way to take credit for stealing Ste’s application, iCountdown. Check it out. You can find it in Installer, too. Plus, iCountdown has more features than your simple app. I’m hoping this app had to suck in order for tomorrow’s iapp to own?
Great job, Sean! -_-;
November 13th, 2007 at 4:19 pm
It even goes down to the tenth of the second and saves up to four countdowns with names!
Sorry, just had to demoralize you some more, lol.
November 13th, 2007 at 4:20 pm
@Sean (aka not me): Uhh… iCountdown is pretty much nothing like Interval. Interval isn’t about keeping a timer running or tracking something specific. It’s about quickly calculating how much time between now and some other time in the past or future. That’s it.
Also, it’s not Ste’s. He’s just the package maintainer. It’s by SpicyChicken.
November 13th, 2007 at 4:22 pm
Sean, you wrote “Today’s is.”
BRRRiinngg!!
That’s wrong.
November 13th, 2007 at 4:24 pm
@Sean (aka me): Wha…?
iCountdown can easily track time from now to the past and future, too.
November 13th, 2007 at 4:25 pm
@English Teacher: Sure about that, chief?
November 13th, 2007 at 4:33 pm
Aren’t I right? Without the apostrophe it would read, “Today is is.” And I wasn’t going to say this, but there is another typo. You need a comma after “now.” Since “down to the last second” is a nonessential clause.
Take that!
November 13th, 2007 at 4:37 pm
“Aren’t I right?”
And you’re correcting ME?!
November 13th, 2007 at 4:41 pm
Me is not a proper noun, so do not capitalize it!
Bam! Add another point to me!
Score: 3 - 2
November 13th, 2007 at 4:43 pm

Anither day, another great app! If only apple aprecitated native app coders, you’d be all over the front page of the iPhone section.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:01 pm
Sadly, i installed Oktoprep and then updated to 1.1.2 but it just removed everything sans contacts and sms’. :(. . I’m just gonna wait for the 1.1.2. easy unlock. Until then, i’ll miss you’re daily apps Sean GREAT work and English Teacher: Suck it.
November 13th, 2007 at 6:36 pm
Me is not a proper noun, so do not capitalize it!
It wasn’t “capitalized”, it was in caps to show a point.
November 13th, 2007 at 7:05 pm
Hahaha!
I almost got in trouble to wake up my wife!
I laugh a lot on english teacher

November 13th, 2007 at 7:20 pm
Hey, guys! I just found out something…
**TOTALLY RAD**
If you drink water, it cleans your skin!
Go water!
November 13th, 2007 at 10:57 pm
Hey, English Teacher. I think you may need to go back to English class again. I’m pretty sure he wasn’t saying “Today’s is” meaning ‘today is is’… but “Today’s (app) is…” Way to prove your own ignorance, buddy.
btw, keep up the good work, Sean.
November 14th, 2007 at 2:12 am
Sean, I have a small idea. Design a small aplication like “Blinker”, but instead of yellow, make it blue and red alternating, like a police car! . Thanks for your time
November 14th, 2007 at 7:28 am
Just wanted to say thanks for continuing to code despite some very negative comments from some strange people. I haven’t found any use for your apps personally but that doesn’t mean I think you are doing a bad job. Thanks again.
November 14th, 2007 at 10:34 am
