Day 16: Elmo
This one is certainly for the kids. You get a picture of Elmo, and if you rub him he laughs and the phone shakes. Yes, I know… very impressive.
Hopefully tomorrow’s app will make up for the last couple of simple ones and you’ll all have some fun with it. In the meantime, gather up the little kids in your life and hand them Elmo and watch them wiggle with joy for a couple minutes - but don’t leave them unattended or they might get bored and start trying to eat your iPhone. Remember, drool and electronics don’t mix!

Funny app! I was thinking if it is possible to write a program for the menu of the iphone. If you set the photo transition mode to ripple you will get a nice ripple effect on each transition. Now i was thinking if it is possible to get that ripple effect on each touch on your screen if you push a button or so….

I am done wasting my time installing your apps, yawning, and then uninstalling it. You’ve only made two or three apps, they’re all the same and hairy! And then you’ve copied others. If you have to copy, then copy and make it better; not worse.
Sean, you’re a scrawny, hairless pig.
Best wishes,
Jax

I love a few things of your programs and I really think it’s a good idea. Like Burp, quest, and painting on the wall thing. But you don’t really have to build one app a day to lower the quality of your collections. I great app a year is probably better off 365 bull crap a year… Good luck!

It’s Day 16 and I can’t believe how many people still don’t get it. The point isn’t “a useful app a day” or even “an app you like a day”. It’s just an app a day. If Sean has fun building them, and some of us like them, then the project is a success. If you don’t like an app, uninstall it and go on your merry way. I swear some people keep coming back just to troll the project.
Sean: I’ve installed AND uninstalled all of your apps on my iPod touch so far. Liked some of them, others not so much. Regardless of the ones I didn’t like, I admire the work you’re putting into the project and the fact that you’re sharing that work with the world. Keep it up because you’re doing great.

Some people just don’t get it. I keep all your apps because they can demonstrate the features of my iPod in a few seconds. My favorites are pumpkin, graffiti, and whisper. Keep it up.

My 9 month old loves it. She touches Elmo, he laughs, the phone vibrates, and then drops to the floor laughing.
She loves it more than what I love Burp.
Theres nothing worth more than a laughing baby, THANKS SEAN!!!!
This App is a keeper.

i agree with neil on this…a lot of people complain coz they don’t like the app, its free software for crying out loud…sean’s doing this coz he’s having fun…who knows, maybe he also challenged himself if he could do this thing! im a software developer too and i admire what he’s been doing…no matter how small the app may be, its still coming from his idea’s and mind…thinking of what to do is a hard thing…i’m trying out iphone development and so far i only have made one app coz its so freaking hard to think of something to do. so all of you retards who just complain, why keep installing his apps? why come here to his site? i too find some apps to be so simple and useless but you don’t hear me complaining…i think most of the people who complain no nothing about software development, if they’re developers then i dunno what the hell is their problem…and that’s really a sad thing.
