I don’t own either an HD-DVD or Blu-ray player, but I think you can pretty much be assured now that Blu-ray won this format war. Why? Wal-Mart has decided to drop HD-DVD products in favor of Blu-ray. Considering the size and influence of Wal-Mart, I think that pretty much seals the deal.
For the first time in my life I am trying to make a homemade pizza entirely from scratch. The odd white substance I mixed up which is meant to be the dough is now nestled under some towels, slowly rising. With luck it won’t become sentient and try to take over my kitchen but instead will plump up into a blob of tasty goodness. Only time will tell…

My wife just put together a YouTube channel for the local humane society (which just happens to be where she works). Over the weekend we edited two videos together for a couple of dogs that need adopting. If this goes well, it might become a regular thing. Check it out. 
PigShooter for the iPhone/iPod got some love over the weekend. It’s now semi-social! When you start playing you can enter your name. As you finish off waves of incoming ships, your time is uploaded and compared with the other people who have played recently. It’s pretty neat and largely a proof of concept of the idea of a single player social game. It’s pretty fun to know you’re not always alone - even when shooting pigs at spaceships out of a UFO in outer-space while playing a game you can’t lose…
